Mr. Amr Radwan is the Chief Business Development Officer at Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR) in Egypt. With over 28 years of experience in central clearing, settlement, depository, and registry operations. Throughout his extensive career at MCDR, Mr. Radwan has held several senior leadership roles, including his former position as Executive Director for Risk, where he spearheaded company-wide risk assessments and led critical regulatory and operational readiness initiatives.
His practical contributions and developments include clearing and settlement systems, shareholders’ register and corporate actions infrastructure, Dividends Payout Model, AML policies and procedures, electronic signature projects, Developing of business continuity policies and compliance with CPMI-IOSCO principles for financial market infrastructures PFMI.
Mr. Radwan holds a Bachelor Degree of Commerce from Cairo University and an MBA with a major in Capital Markets from the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences. He is a Certified Lead Auditor for Information Security Management Systems-27001 from BSI and has completed numerous specialized trainings in Enterprise risk management, electronic signature operations, and crisis management.
He has also represented Egypt in key regional initiatives, including leading the cross-certification of e-signatures between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. And training programs held by AMEDA, the Africa and Medill East regional CSDs association. Mr. Radwan has shared his knowledge as a speaker and lecturer in industry licensing and awareness programs, particularly in the areas of intraday trading, AML and operational risk.
