Ivan Takev joined Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia (BSE Sofia) in 2001 as a Specialist at Trading and Surveillance department. After he became Head of Trading and Surveillance department (2005), held the position of COO (January 2008), and since October 2008 he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of BSE Sofia.

Since May 2012, Mr. Takev is also a Board Member of the Central Depository AD.
