István Máté-Tóth has over 25 years of capital market experience. He began his career as an equity analyst at Credit Suisse, where  he had worked for over 18 years based in London, United Kingdom. As a Managing Director he headed the Emerging Markets Equity Research team and later acted as Co-Head of European Equity Research.

He also worked at the United Kingdom Listing Authority within the Financial Conduct Authority for several years. There, he managed areas related to primary markets regulation. In addition to his professional roles, he served as a voluntary advisor to the CFA UK Career Development Committee, contributing to the establishment of the CFA Women’s Network in the UK.

He has been the Deputy CEO of  the Budapest Stock Exchange since September 25, 2017.
