In his role as GCEO, Mr. Alnuaimi steers the ADX Group’s growth and strategic direction as a world-class organization comprising the ADX as a leading multi-asset global exchange, the Abu Dhabi Clear LLC (AD Clear) as the central clearing house, and the Abu Dhabi Depository LLC (AD CSD) as the central securities depository.  The ADX Group provides a dynamic investment platform dedicated to support economic diversification in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and contributing to the UAE’s economic development and prosperity.

With over 25 years of experience in capital markets and financial services, Mr. Alnuaimi has led numerous transformational initiatives that have positioned ADX at the forefront of global trading hubs and investment platforms. Notably, he oversaw the successful launch of the ADX Group, the derivatives trading platform with central counterparty clearing capabilities in 2022, and the Tabadul Hub, the region’s first digital exchange platform based on the mutual market access model. The Tabadul platform facilitates a unique digital exchange network for trading among member exchanges at both regional and global levels.

Under Mr. Alnuaimi’s leadership, ADX has introduced several innovative trading mechanisms, including the ‘Trade at Last’ session for trading securities at their closing price, ‘Circuit Breaker with Call Auction’, the ADX eIPO Investor Portal, Technical Short Selling service and mechanism, ‘market maker’ services, and automated cash dividends payment to bank connections. These mechanisms aim to expand the exchange’s service and product offerings and enhance market liquidity.

Embracing innovation, ADX became the first securities market in the MENA region to adopt blockchain technology in its services and the financial sector. This technology was integrated into the e-voting management platform for Annual General Meetings (AGMs), enabling listed companies to better engage with investors while ensuring timely disclosures of company information.

Before joining ADX, Mr. Alnuaimi held various positions in Investment Banking, contributing significantly to the growth and development of Abu Dhabi’s capital markets.

In addition to his executive role, Mr. Alnuaimi serves on the Advisory Board at Abu Dhabi University’s College of Business and Economics. In this capacity, he supports the academic and professional development of students by equipping them with the skills necessary for academic and professional success.

Mr. Alnuaimi is a certified Arbitrator and holds a Master’s degree in Security and Strategic Studies from the UAE National Defense College.
